DENNIS KELLEY
Street Portraiture: Seeing the Invisible
M.Photog.Cr., CPP,
Dennis is an internationally published, award-winning professional photographer based in San Antonio, Texas. He specializes in sports, wildlife, and character portraiture, bringing a distinctive storytelling style to his work.
Dennis’s passion for photography began early, inspired by his father’s career as a photographer for the National Weather Service. After two decades of service in law enforcement, Dennis retired to pursue photography full-time, combining technical precision with an artistic eye.
A Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, and Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Dennis has earned recognition at both state and national levels. His images have been accepted into the prestigious PPA Loan Collection, and his work has garnered honors including PPA’s Gold and Silver Photographer of the Year, Texas Top 10, the Texas Distinguished Image Award, and finalist placement in the Grand Imaging Awards.
Beyond his achievements behind the camera, Dennis has contributed to the professional photography community as a lecturer, workshop instructor, and past President and Board member of the Professional Photographers of San Antonio. He also founded Capture San Antonio Photography, a community group that fostered collaboration and education for local photographers.
When not behind the camera, Dennis enjoys kayaking, music, and spending time with his greatest
inspiration—his son.
