BERT BEHNKE
M. Photog., Cr., CPP
Bert and Cindy Behnke are two of the most sought after instructors/talents
in the photography field today. Their relaxed easy-going style makes
a class with them both educational and fun.
Cindy is a self-driven artist whose goal is perfection. Her attention to details and critical eye help her create family masterpieces. Her desire to educate is exceeded only by her intense need to continue learning herself. She has won just about every award from PPA and her home state affiliate, is a Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman, recipient of both the PPA National Award and PPA Charities Legacy Award and a PPA Approved Juror.
Bert is a self-described photographic “operative”, meaning he is totally immersed in our profession. As a past president of Professional Photographers of America, the largest member run association in the world, past chair of numerous PPA committees, past Executive Director of PPA Charities, past President of the World Photographic Council, and a two time president of the Frankfort (IL) Chamber of Commerce! His knowledge of our industry is at the top of the game. He currently also sat on the governing committee of the prestigious World Photographic Cup. He is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, Honorary Master, and CPP from PPA, as well as a PPA Approved Juror. His awards include the PPA National Award, Ross Sandal International Award, PPA Charities Legacy Award and International Photographic Council Portrait Photographer of the Year from the United Nations.
Together, Bert and Cindy run their 68 year old business, that spans three generations, in the Chicago suburbs. Specializing in fine portraiture and corporate work, both bring their many talents to their clients. Families and women related photography compose their largest segments. They have lectured
in most states and internationally for years. Most recently, they have begun hosting international workshops with other photographers and others, taking them to Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Mexico and Croatia to name a few.
